Asking for a document
Just say what you want and that you’d like it as a PDF:- “Write an ABM plan for Acme as a PDF”
- “Make a one-pager on our compliance product for the sales team”
- “Put together a briefing on Northwind before Thursday’s meeting”
- “Turn that competitor comparison into a PDF”
Outreach reports
Ask for an outreach report — “send me an outreach report for the last 30 days” — and the figures come straight from your data rather than from Alva’s memory:- email engagement for the period (the last 7 or 30 days, or a period you name)
- every Search Agent and what it has found
- every BDR agent, with its activity and budget
- the health of your mailboxes
Getting your PDF
- In the chat panel, Alva’s reply shows a file card with Open (in a new tab) and Download.
- By email, the PDF is attached to Alva’s reply. See Alva by Email.
Asking about a document
Ask follow-up questions on the same conversation — “what did the report say about bounce rates?” — and Alva answers from what the PDF actually says. A document never changes after it’s made. To change one, ask: “make the summary shorter” or “add a section on pricing”. Alva writes a new version, which is linked to the one it replaces. The Documents page
Documents in the sidebar lists every PDF Alva has written for your account, newest first. Everyone on the team can see them. Each row shows:- the title and label
- who asked for it, and whether it came from email
- when it was made
A revised document links to the one it replaces. Documents can’t be deleted.
You can also ask Alva to “show me our documents” or “find the ABM plan from last week”, or to take you to the Documents page.
A PDF is a fixed deliverable. If you want a living document that Alva keeps reading and updating — such as your go-to-market strategy — ask for a strategy document instead.
