Your company profile is the foundation of Alva’s understanding of your business. It’s included in every AI conversation, every email analysis, and every BDR agent decision — so the more complete it is, the better Alva performs.
Auto-generated on signup
When you create your Alva account and provide your company website, Alva reads your site and automatically generates an initial company profile — including a description, key products, and positioning. You can refine this at any time.
Editing your profile
Go to Context → Company Profile to view and edit your profile. The profile includes:
- Elevator pitch — a concise description of what your company does and who it’s for
- Value propositions — the key benefits you offer to customers
- Target audience — who your ideal customers are (industries, company sizes, roles)
- Competitive advantages — what makes you different from competitors
Write your elevator pitch as you’d explain your business to a potential customer in 30 seconds. This is what Alva uses to personalise outreach and understand context in conversations.
How Alva uses your profile
Your company profile feeds into multiple features:
| Feature | How it uses the profile |
|---|
| AI conversations | Alva understands your business context and gives relevant advice |
| Email analysis | Identifies buying signals relevant to your value proposition |
| BDR agents | Personalises outreach emails using your positioning |
| Deal insights | Benchmarks deals against your typical sales patterns |
| Knowledge base | Extracts product-specific insights from email conversations |
| Discovery | Informs how companies are matched against your profile |
Keeping it up to date
Your company profile should evolve as your business does. If you change your positioning, add a new product line, or shift your target market, update the profile. Alva will immediately use the updated context in all future interactions.
You can also ask Alva to help update it: “Update our company profile to include our new enterprise tier.”
