The dialler
The dialler lives in the bottom-right corner of every page. Click the green phone button to open it.- To — type the number you want to call, or have it filled in automatically with click-to-dial (see below)
- From — choose which of your numbers to call from; your default is selected for you
- Keypad — enter digits before the call, or send tones (for example to navigate a phone menu) once connected
Calls are paid for from your credit balance. If your balance is too low, the dialler will ask you to top up before placing the call. You can buy credits in Settings → Billing.
Click-to-dial
You rarely need to type a number. Wherever a phone number appears on a contact or company, you’ll see a Call via Alva button. Click it and the dialler opens with the number, contact, and company already filled in — so the call is linked to the right records from the moment it connects.Logging the outcome
When a call ends, Alva asks you to log an outcome — for example Pitched – Interested, Voicemail, or Callback Requested. Choosing an outcome:- Records the result against the call
- Adds the call to the contact, company, and deal timelines automatically
- Feeds your calling stats and reports
Recording and transcripts
By default, every outbound call is recorded and transcribed automatically. (An admin can switch either off for the whole account in Settings → Telephony.) A few minutes after a call ends, you’ll find on the call record:- Audio — play the recording back in your browser
- Transcript — a tidy, speaker-separated transcript showing your lines and the prospect’s lines side by side
